You've had your baby! Congratulations! You got through the most intense physical test of strength and frustration of your life either for the first or last time and didn't kill anyone. Unless you are reading this from prison in which case: hello! I almost killed the nurse who suggested that other women can push harder... but alas, I digress.

Either way, most of us will be spending a lot of time recouping, and while you are feeding your new noise and poop machine you'll need some entertainment! For your viewing pleasure and marathoning:

If you liked Parks and Recreation:

Difficult People (Hulu): The show follows two darkly funny comedians who hate everyone but themselves. It's funny, and shameless. Don't watch  with kids but do check it out.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix): Kimmy Schmidt, once a member of an apocalypse cult who lived underground and thought the world hand ended in the 90s, comes above ground to find society has changed a bit. Lots of 90s humor and a great sidekick GBF.

If you liked Game of Thrones:

Vikings (History Channel/Hulu): Not as heavy on the sex and violence or needless killing of characters you love as GoT, but with similar themes and power/ambition struggles. Beautiful scenery and "Vikings".

Borgias (Netflix/Showtime): Not super historical, but definitely heavy on the power struggles throughout history theme with a little Catholicism for good measure. Plus you cant beat Jeremy Irons as a lead.

Tudors (Netflix/Amazon/Showtime):Heavy on sex, heavy on violence, heavy on schemes and obviously beheading. Some of it is historical, most of it is conjecture-but isn t history fun?

If you liked Sex and the City

Desperate Housewives (Hulu): an oldie but a goodie. The show follows 4 friends of different backgrounds and parenting styles as they go through their absurdly dramatic and scandalous lives on a street where murder is the norm. I add this because you need something you can still follow as you change diapers and power nap. Seriously, I missed like 1 40 minute episode a day.

Nashville (Hulu): See above, plus absurdly catchy country songs. As long as you can ignore the fact that Connie Britton can't really sing, bless her heart.

If you liked CSI:

Criminal Minds (Netflix): Follows a team of FBI agents in the Behavioral Analysis Unit which profiles and hunts serial killers. Not super graphic, but realistic and entertaining with good character development.

Law and Order SVU (Hulu):Follows 15(?) years of a detective unit that investigates crimes against special victims. Later seasons are less heavy on crimes against children which you don't want to watch now, unless you feel satisfied with Stabler beating up those perps. I do.

If this wasn't your first child:

Modern Family: Follows the lives of the 3 generations of The Prichett Family, as they go through life (hilariously) in modern times. One of my personal favorites,

Grimm (Hulu): What if fairy tale creatures were real and lived alongside humans in secret? They would need to be kept in line as their histories and politics threaten to expose them. Enter an awesome, ass kicking human who keeps the baddies in line and defends the innocent. Not a lot of sex or violence, use your judgment, obviously.

Downton Abbey (Amazon/PBS): A historical drama that follows a noble family living in England through WWI, Women's Suffrage, and family dramas . As the times change, so do they.

Enjoy this list, take it slow and remember that it gets easier. Congratulations!
